Vocational Employability Expert

A Certified Rehabilitation Counselor/Vocational Expert who has been court qualified, or a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor/Vocational Consultant with the potential to become court qualified.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interview, evaluate and assess an individual’s employability in the workforce. This includes administering tests such as aptitude, interest and achievement, and completing a transferable skills analysis.

  • Gather vocational and labor market research.

  • Write a comprehensive report summarizing your results.

  • Provide testimony at court hearings as required.

  • Manage your own calendar and schedule appointments with evaluees.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: 

  • MA or MS in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling

  • Rehabilitation Counseling

  • Counseling Psychology or related Masters level field

  • CRC required

  • Additional certifications/licenses are a plus.

EXPERIENCE 

  • Strong communication and report writing skills a must. 

  • 3-5 years’ work experience in Vocational Rehabilitation with a minimum of 3 years’ demonstrated job placement experience preferred, but will consider recent grads. We will mentor the right candidate. 

  • Must be a motivated self-starter who takes initiative and manages work independently in a deadline driven environment.  

  • Courtroom testifying experience preferred.

           

Valid driver’s license required. Compensation commensurate with experience.  Inquiries and applications will be held in strictest confidence.

Life Care Planner

A Certified Nurse Life Care Planner or Certified Life Care Planner.

 

Minimum requirements include holding a current, unrestricted license or certification to practice a health/human services discipline in a state or territory of the US that allows the health professional to independently conduct an assessment as permitted within the scope of practice of the discipline.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Master’s degree.  State required professional licenses/certifications, and CLCP or CNLCP. Certifications of CCM, SCC, CRC, and/or CRRN are desired or may be required to be obtained within a reasonable timeframe.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of five years full time experience of direct clinical care to patients or consumers preferred.                                  

  • Prior case management experience or workers’ compensation experience highly preferred.              

  • Experience in medical case management, rehabilitation services, occupational/industrial nursing preferred.

  • Experience or background with personal injury and liability laws are desirable.

  • Excellent writing skills, interpersonal skills, computer literacy and ability to work independently required.

Career Researchers

Part-time 24 hour work week, with the flexibility to work an additional 4-8 hours as needed when things get busy.  Training is provided.

​

The career researcher will:

  • Mine the internet to seek job opportunities and training for individuals to re-enter the workforce,

  • Call employers to gather information about those jobs,

  • Capture vocational data directly from employers in today’s general labor market

  • Confirm details pertaining to available jobs, salary, education, qualifications, job duties and physical requirements

  • Work closely with vocational experts, providing them with a summary of the information gathered within the specified timeframe.

 

This is an ideal position for a motivated self-starter who is looking to return to the workforce (stay at home mom), or reduce their current hours to part-time.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Prior recruiting, career pathing or career development experience a plus.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Experience with MS Word and familiarity with Excel
